Objective: present the experience of the Panamanian Social Security Pediatric Hospital (HEPOTH) in the management of vaginoplasty with oral mucosa.
Materials and methods: The information of 2 pediatric patients with sexual differentiation disorders managed between 2018 and 2019 managed using the oral mucosa vaginoplasty is collected and presented.
The first patient is a woman with congenital adrenal hyperplasia and 21-Hydroxylase deficiency, and the second patient has a 46XY karyotype with hypo androgenism and genital feminization. In both interventions, oral mucosa vaginoplasty was performed.
Results: both cases evolved without complications, diet was started 24 hours postop and walking before the 2nd day, both patients where discharged on the 4th postoperative day.
Conclusions: We consider it a feasible technique without gastrointestinal complications, without visible scars and with satisfactory results.
