Abstract

Prostate cancer has become the most common cancer in men in Western countries. Although it is a slow-growing tumor, its early diagnosis is essential to try to achieve a complete cure. According to the current recommendations available in the clinical guidelines of the 2017 AUA, in most cases of early stage prostate cancer and in men with a life expectancy of more than 10 years, it is recommended to perform radical prostatectomy, to achieve complete extirpation of the prostate. With the current techniques, approaching the technique of radical prostatectomy we modified 20 patients in total, by means of traction from the bladder to the urethra using a Foley No.24 probe, which is maintained for 5 years without urethral anastomosis without suture. days allowing the union and then the skin traction is removed, all this without using any type of suture which leads us to decrease the surgical time and obtain the same results as using the technique with suture. The presence of a system of classification and management protocol ureteral catheters calcified standardizes how this phenomenon is solved, however due to limited access to all management options in our institution, should be to individualize the plan to follow in each patient.
