Kidney cancer accounts for about 3% of malignant neoplasms 1,2,6,7,8,10. The sex ratio is higher in the male gender, with a 3: 2 ratio 1,2,8,10. It is the urinary tract neoplasia with the highest mortality, which is around 40% 1,5,8,10. Only 3% to 8% are diagnosed in patients younger than 40 years, according to different studies 1,3,8,10. The known prognostic factors are: the clinical stage, the cellular degree and the histological type 1,4,8,10. Some series have pointed out that younger patients have found metastases and lymphatic involvement, as the biological behavior is more aggressive in young patients 1,4,8,9,10. The incidental diagnosis in younger patients is greater due to the use of ultrasonography and tomography, so it is possible that they are diagnosed in an early clinical stage, improving the chances of survival 1,7,8,10. In addition, carcinoma of the collecting ducts represents less than 1% of renal neoplasms, presenting at 45% metastasis at the time of diagnosis and presenting a survival of 12 to 36 months 1,4,8,9,10. We present a case of a 23-year-old patient managed at the Guatemalan Social Security Institute who is diagnosed for pathology Renal Carcinoma of Collecting Ducts on the Right Side.
