Abstract

We report a case of a 41 years old woman, diabetic, with left renal mass diagnose. Patient had history of urinary tract infection with intrahospitalary treatment, had tomographically diagnosis of renal mass, for wich was surgery indicated. Radical nephrectomy was performed, findings where of a renal mass with tumoral compound that exteriorized extra retroperitoneal and involved the pancreas tail, so distal pancreatectomy was also performed. Anatomopathological studies reported chronic xanthogranulomatous pyelonephritis of 90% of renal parenchyma and in situ carcinoma of the pancreas associated with chronic inflammation and chronic xanthogranulomatous inflammation.
