Stone disease is highly prevalent. Due to technological advances, minimally invasive management can be given to this pathology. Infectious processes sometimes participate in the genesis of urolithiasis, which associated with stone factors require percutaneous access. The presentation of infectious complications is expected due to the indications for PNL. It is necessary to carry out pre, trans and post operative prophylactic measures to reduce complications, which are generally of low complexity. When urinary sepsis develops, support in critical care units is necessary. The measurement of endotoxins and changes in the usual technique of the procedure can help reduce complications.
