Introduction: To know how the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted urological practice in Ecuador. Material and Methods: A survey was carried out with urologists and residents of Urology in Ecuador, which involved 25 questions about urological practice and the impact on the COVID-19 pandemic in Ecuador. Results: A total of 90 responses were received, 30% answered that elective surgeries continued to be carried out in the institution where they work, 82.2% of those surveyed have participated in emergency surgeries, with nephroureterolithiasis being their main cause, 14.4% have performed some surgical intervention on a positive COVID-19 patient, 70% consider that the main measure to protect themselves is the use of personal protective equipment, however 53.3% of the doctors have suffered some condition due to the use of the same; In order to continue with patient care, 44% attended to their patients personally and 24.4% deferred their outpatient visits. Conclusions: The COVID-19 pandemic represents a global challenge and mainly to developing countries such as Ecuador with a health system where the lack of supplies, management protocols and training is a daily problem; urological practice will face unprecedented changes without a doubt.
