Human anatomy has been studied and described throughout history, and the terminology used to refer to the structures of the body has evolved over time. Since the beginning of the 20th century, the International Federation of Associations of Anatomists (IFAA) was formed, bringing together associations from all over the world, studying human anatomy and biomorphological sciences.1
