OBJECTIVE: to present the clinical case of a patient with a diagnosis of eosinophilic cystitis who underwent transurethral resection of bladder mass. BACKGROUND: Eosinophilic cystitis is a very rare inflammatory condition of the bladder. It involves transmural inflammation with a strong predominance of eosinophils in the bladder wall with fibrosis with or without muscle necrosis. CLINICAL CASE: female of 30 year old patient with a 6 month history of presenting macroscopic, occasional hematuria, with expulsion of clots, which subsides with water intake. Also refers to dysuria, stranguria and dyspareunia. USG is performed which concludes bladder mass; Abdomino-Pelvic CT concluded 2 x 3 cm bladder tumor on the floor and bladder fundus. TUR-BT is performed. In biopsy, it concludes: Glandularis cystitis with intestinal metaplasia associated with eosinophilic cystitis. It is treated with antihistamines for 1 month, steroids 15 days and antibiotic for 7 days, presenting complete remission. RESULT: it is a rare pathology that was possible to resect a complete bladder mass. Steroids and antihistamines were administered for 4 weeks, presenting complete remission of the disease. CONCLUSIONS: TUR-BT (transurethral resection of bladder tumor) plus steroid and antiallergic therapy are indicated in this type of pathology. Rigorous control and monitoring of the patient is necessary.
