Vesicoureteral reflux has a different variability and spontaneous resolution when they are grades I - III, however, grade IV - V require surgical resolution. The prevalence of reflux is about 30% in patients with urinary infection and 17% without it. 25% occurs in girls older than 4 years. We present the case of a 4-year-old female patient with bilateral grade V vesicoureteral reflux with paraurethral insertion, managed in the Urology service of the Guatemalan Institute of Social Security.
