Testicular tumors represent approximately 1% of all malignant tumors in men. It is the most common tumor in the age group of 15 to 35 years. (1,2,3,4). Germ cell extragonadal tumors are rare, about 2 to 5%, of which 60% are seminomas, are often located in different places such as mediastinum, retroperitoneum, pineal gland, liver, bladder, bone, prostate, stomach. Their origin is still a matter of discussion, there are two theories in which it is considered that they may originate from totipotent cells, or from an abnormal migration of primordial germ cells. (2,3,5,)
A 34-year-old male patient, who consulted due to a history of abdominal pain (,) for which a private doctor performed an abdominal ultrasonography, which reported a right renal mass, for which he was admitted to the Guatemalan Social Security Institute, where a urotomography was performed (,) which reports a right renal mass. He was taken to the operating room to perform a right radical nephrectomy plus an 80% lumpectomy, identifying by pathology and immunohistochemical tests that it corresponds to seminoma. Tumor markers are performed with results within normal limits. Testicular ultrasonography is performed where an atrophic left testicle is identified, with a heterogeneous image. Follow-up is given by medical oncology starting treatment with chemotherapy.
